Stunning and Scarce Royal Crown Derby Tureen in the discontinued Cobalt Blue and Gilt with Vine Border Scroll 2170 “Vine Border” pattern. At 133 years, this rather large soup tureen is in very good antique condition and a fine example of the finest handcraftsmanship of the time. There is slight to moderate wear to gilt. However, it looks as beautiful and glossy as new. A superb 1st quality antique serving piece from the renowned Royal Crown Derby factory that will grace your table as it displays beautifully. This would do the perfect loved one’s present! This item has been examined through carefully in order to offer you an accurate report on its condition. There are not crazing, hairline cracks, but a tiny flaw on the inner rim of lid, only noticeable on close inspection; and which I have photographed for you to assess. Measurements: This tureen is 25 cms approx tall from base to finial, 18 cms approx tall without lid x 39 cms approx from handle to handle. Lid 26.5 cms approx x 17.2 cms across. Inner rim 28.5 cms lenght x 18.5 cms across Outer rim 33 cms lenght x 25 cms approx across. Both, the base and its lid have matching backstamps with date cypher for year 1886.
