ROYAL CROWN DERBY, DERBY LILY- ANTIQUE CUP & SAUCER (WITH DEFECT) GOLD DECOR. Gorgeous tea cup and saucer by ROYAL CROWN DERBY in the pattern DERBY LILY. This is the original version of Derby Lily produced in the late 1800s – this piece is a real antique. White base with cobalt blue floral design and gold painted decor. Gold has some rubbing on rim from use. Cup measures 2 1/8” with a diameter of 3 3/8”. Saucer has a diameter of 6”. Saucers has a chip on the edge, which leads into a crack that is noticeable from the underside. Otherwise pieces are in great condition for their age. I usually don’t sell pieces with noticeable defects like the chip/crack on the saucer, but the rarity and antique nature of this piece make it special.
