An oval serving platter from Royal Crown Derby’s Nottingham Road works, measuring 13.25″ × 10″. The decoration features cobalt, iron red, and gilt in a floral and scrollwork arrangement-an early iteration of the King’s pattern lineage. On the back is Royal Crown Derby’s signature blue vine and leaf motif. The red crown-over-crossed-batons-and-D mark confirms production between 1806 and 1825, during the Duesbury & early Bloor period. A beautiful example of Derby’s early 19th-century output. Maker : Royal Crown Derby. Pattern : Early King’s. Form : Oval serving platter. Dimensions : 13.25″ × 10″. Style : Cobalt, iron red, and gilt floral with scrollwork. Derby’s signature blue vines and leaves on the back. Use : Cabinet display, dinner service. Excellent for its age, with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. Gilt remains vivid, and the surface retains its original glaze. Foot ring is stable, and the mark is clearly impressed. Wear to gold along the edge of the rim.
