C 1890 Royal Crown Derby scalloped plate, Imari “Chatsworth” pattern #2646. Dimensions 23.5 cm diameter. Gloriously presented in the hand painted Imari colourways of cobalt blue and brown with lavish gilded highlights, but with the addition of unusual pale green highlights as well. The base bears the Royal Crown Derby back stamp with pattern name and registration #56463, impressed date code and painters marks. In excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration that I can identify. Very handsome, displays beautifully and typical of this fabulous producer which alas is no longer in production.
