These 6 plates were produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1939. They have a date cipher which indicates this year. They are 6 1/8 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The decoration is a combination of hand painting and transfer design. Tiny, hand painted flowers in pastel colors fill the spaces around the blue scrolls and ring the inside of the plate. The rims are trimmed with gold. These can be used for bread, appetizers, or whatever you desire. They are truly delicate and dainty. The Post Office requires this.
