1888 Royal Crown Derby gentleman’s breakfast tea trio, imari pattern #2224, large proportions. Gloriously presented in the hand painted Imari colour ways of cobalt blue and brown with lavish gilded highlights. All pieces bear the pre Royal Crown Derby back stamp, impressed Derby and date code, hand painted pattern number and painters marks. In perfect original condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage that I can identify, some very light rubbing to the gilding on the edges. A very handsome set which displays beautifully and typical of this fabulous producer which alas is no longer in production.
