Royal Crown Derby Imari Trio Dimensions are approximately: Saucer diameter: 14cms (5 1/2″ ins) Cup diameter excluding handle: 7.5cms (3″ ins) Cup height excluding handle: 6cms (2 3/8″ ins) Tea Plate diameter: 15.5cms (6 1/8″ ins) This elegant trio was produced by prestigious English china company Royal Crown Derby. The tea cup, saucer and plate is decorated with the’Traditional’ Imari pattern, all painted by hand and embellished with 22ct burnished gold. This pattern was originally produced in the late 1880’s and has constantly been reproduced since then. Royal Crown Derby has created numerous variations of the Imari pattern since the late 1800’s.. The trio features the all hand painted pattern in cobalt blue, Derby red and 22ct gold. All three pieces are further embellished with an outer decorative rim and cup handle in gold. Cup shape is Dover.. The trio was manufactured at the Osmaston Road Factory which dates from 1877 to the present day… The trio is of exceptional quality English china and should last many years yet, with care. As the years pass, these lovely china items become more precious… Pieces are damaged, lost or collections are broken up. The good news for collectors is that quality pieces should not only hold their value but increase over time. Generally in excellent to very good vintage condition commensurate for age and use. Teeny scratch to the tea plate, see enlarged photo and some mild discolouration to the inner base of the cup… No chips, fractures or crazing. Pattern, trims and colour all excellent.
