Marked in red overglaze with crown and crossed swords, urn form with pierced rim with grotesque mask, paw feet, finely decorated overall, lacking lids, height 3 7/8 in. Diameter 5 1/4 in. Vito was a collector of many fine items. Just beginning to sell his estate off. Both show gilt losses and interior staining. One shows a chip on the base as shown along with a few much smaller bites along that same base rim. The other jar has an interior rim flea bite and the back of one head has a tiny chip with minor chipping along base rim. Very early and very desirable pieces at a great price.
