Royal Crown Derby – Royal Cats – Egyptian. One of the Royal Cats Collection which symbolises the crowned heads of the Eastern Countries. Each cat wears the authentic headgear of their respective country and their coats carry motifs typical of the decorative traditions of the country. The Egyptian cat was introduced in 1986 and retired in 1996 and was modelled and decorated by Robert Jefferson. It stands 21.5cm tall. It is free of chips, cracks and crazing, and as with all of this collection it was issued without a stopper. The back stamp is scored through so this is a second.
