A truly beautiful antique Royal Crown Derby 13 piece dessert service. Each piece matching and finely hand painted with fishing boats within shaped rims. Comprising 10 plates, two dishes and a comport. Astonishingly they are not signed but can only be by one person, the well respected and collected Derby decorator W. The two diamond shaped bowls are 26.5cm wide, the plates are 22cm and the comport is 12.5cm tall x 22cm in diameter. All pieces with identical marks with the date cypher for 1897 apart from one of the serving dishes which is 1898 but only because the production of the set must of spanned over the new year period. The best bit is the the condition, all pieces are perfect, beautifully clean and bright and look nearly unused to my eyes. Wonderful set, very rare – especially in this condition.
