The piece is a teapot in the Traditional Imari pattern and holds 6 measuring cups of liquid… A magnificent piece and wonderful size. The piece is an overall white in color with stylized and hand painted deep blue, orange and gold patterns of stylized florals, geometric patterns and superb design. The applied gold that encircles the designs adds elegance to the piece and the quality is unmatched. The teapot measures 7 3/8″ tall and 10″ from tip of spout to the tip of the golden painted handle. The piece comes from a wonderful Michigan estate where it was displayed and does not appear to have been used… If so, it was very lightly used. The piece appears to be in pristine condition, with no chips, flakes, cracks, flea bites, crazing or discoloration..
