Royal Crown Derby Posies Yacht Paperweight. This is a fabulous and rare Royal Crown Derby Paperweight Yacht in the celebrated Posies Pattern. Posies Paperweights were introduced originally in 1991 as a marketing exercise and were only available for sale in the Derbyshire area. The Yacht seems to be extremley rare – I haven’t been able to find any information about it and have never seen it before. Some Posies Paperweights were produced in very small quantities, e. This Yacht is 2nd quality and has a silver stopper but it is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. Posies Paperweights were made from the white “left over” material at the end of the day and artists had free rein on their completion.
