Bone China Covered Soup Tureen w/Tray. The soup tureen is in the Traditional Imari 2451 pattern, and it is made of white bone china with deep hand-painted cobalt blue details and bright gold accents arranged around orange flowers and leaves. The tureen features two open handles on its sides, an acorn finial, and a scalloped rim on both the egde of the base and foot. Overall the tureen stands about 9 1/2″ tall with the lid in place, and it measures about 12 1/2″ in diameter from handle to handle. The soup tureen also includes its original undertray which has matching acorn handles and the same date code. The tray measures approximately 14 1/4 in diameter. The overall condition of the soup tureen is near perfect. It is extremely clean with bright white bone china, and it has no chips, cracks, or repaired areas. The hand-painted details are extremely bold and vivid with no loss or wear that I see. The glaze is glossy with no crazing, and the trademarks are easy to read.
