Cobalt blue ground rim and a posy. Center finished with gold scalloped edges. The’Vine’ pattern was designed by Phillip Robinson and was a very popular pattern that was in production for over 35 years. At first glance, many’ Vine’ patterns look very similar. There are 15 different grounds (colors) listed in the pattern books as well as 7 different centers excluding plain. The embossed vine leaves can either be stenciled out and finished with ivory ground or remain filled in. Not all patterns are marked, so take a good look before purchasing! The back stamp shows the saucer was produced in 1980 (XLIII) and the cup was produced in 1981 (XLIV). High x 2 5/8 in diameter. In very good condition free chips, cracks, repairs or staining: no gold loss noted. Please note there is a small smudge on the saucer as shown.
