Because the surface is glossy, you might see light reflected, appearing as white or blue spots. Please don’t confuse this with damage. It’s possible it once had a stopper or lid, but I can’t say for sure. Ornate gold design highlighted in red. The mark dates this piece from 1877 to 1890.
