Bloor Derby Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Teapot. IMARI ANTIQUE 1800’s Teapot Witches Pattern, 200 years old. A Beautiful Antique Blood Derby Imari Large Coffee Teapot. It is decorated in the Rich Imari colors. This amazing piece is both Ageless and Timeless. It will be a great gift – to yourself or a loved one. The teapot is accordingly marked with print Bloor Derby mark. The red mark dates the teapot in between 1825 and 1848. The pot is approx. 10 from the handle to the spout and approx. Crafted of fine quality English white bone porcelain. Features the hand painted Imari (Witches) pattern with. Very deep hand-painted cobalt blue details and bright gold accents. Arranged around orange flowers with green leaves. Made during the’Bloor Derby’ period in the early 19th Century. Decorated with a’Japanese’ inspired floral pattern picked out in the’Imari’ palette. Further embellished with gilded patterning and banding to the handles and rims. This is an early version, as can be seen in photos. This is not the traditional newer pattern, take note that the older pattern listed here retains the green palette which somehow over time was lost on the newer pattern, it was commonly used in the 1800’s to early 1900’s on English porcelain resulting in much more colorful pattern. Indoor and outdoor lighting provided in photos so you have the tools needed to view these plates, each plate shown front and back. The colors are very brilliant and condition is very good. Last photo shows available items coming up for sale in my store from the original owner, they are not included in this sale. It is in very good antique condition. It has some minimal crazing, some manufacturing defects consistent with its age and darkened spots inside the spout, very good aside from the portion of the under area of the spout which appears to have been smoothed at one time from a flake or chip, (can’t say for sure, it came to me this way) to look and feel appropriate to its original state, it does not compromise the integrity of the pot if you should decide to use it other than display, honestly this area of the spout appears to be tea stained unless you hold/feel it and examine it which is how you would ascertain a smoothed out area of past flake/chip. Gold trim intact and in still retains the gold. An absolutely delightful teapot considering it’s over 200 years old. All items in my shop are of antique or vintage condition.
