Set of 4 Royal Crown Derby Tea Cups & Saucers + Plates. Presented for your consideration is this set of 4 vintage tea cups & saucers with the under (or tea sandwich) plates. Made by Royal Crown Derby, this set features the “Red Aves” pattern which consists of several birds in different positions with a floral motif around each bird. Beautiful, intricate detailing is present throughout the pattern. This pattern is done in red-orange coloration. The plates are finished with a gold trim around the outer edge. The tea cups have gold trim around the top and bottom edges as well as the handle. All pieces bare the Royal Crown Derby hallmark on the bottom. On the tea cups the mark reads Royal Crown Derby. ” On the plates it reads “Derby China. “Red Aves'” The set consists of 4 tea cups, 4 saucers and 4 under plates (or tea sandwich plates). Making these quality china pieces. This beautiful set would make a wonderful addition to any vintage china collection or a nice set to use when entertaining guests! One under plate was repainted in areas. Otherwise the set is free of damage. No chips or cracks. Overall in EXCELLENT condition. Tea cups measure 4 1/4″ from the front edge to the back of the handle, 3 5/8″ in diameter excluding the handle and 2 1/4 tall. Saucers measure 5 3/4 in diameter.
