1899 Royal Crown Derby Cased Imari Coffee Set. Here we have a delightful Royal Crown Derby coffee set decorated in the Imari pattern number 6299. The vibrant colours on this pattern are terracotta, cobalt blue, pale green and all are hand gilded, depicting white & red flowers against a blue & white background. The pattern is a beautiful flowing floral scene all edged with a geometric gilt pattern. The production mark dates this set to 1899. The stamps read ROYAL CROWN DERBY, ENGLAND. There are six espresso cups and six dishes. The display box is leather bound wood with a satin liner. Dimensions The coffee cups stand 2 inches (5 cm) high and have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm). The sets plates are 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. The box is 11.5 inches (29 cm) deep by 13.5 wide (34 cm) by 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Condition The set is in a wonderful condition. The set is all clearly marked and undamaged, except for one cup which has a score mark to one side on the outside of the lower lip. The box which appears to be its original from 1899 has some cosmetic wear and scuffs, the inner is in good condition. The underside is missing one edge.
