Colin the Puppy has a unique heart shaped name-tag’C’ for Colin, Cancer, Caroline and Charity, and has been created in the world renowned, impressive and prestigious Royal Crown Derby way. This fine bone china, made in England piece is 8cm/3.25 high and hand decorated with 22-carat gold, with gold stopper and gift boxed. Caroline Cares in an animal support group that was founded in honour of the wonderful Caroline Walsh who sadly lost her battle with cancer in May 2015. Deeply missed, Caroline’s legacy remains – her quest to help animals all over the world, especially dogs and cats, to save them from cruelty and suffering and to find them love and kindness in their forever homes. Caroline always wanted a dog called Colin. Not long after Caroline passed, along came Sid, a fun-loving and mischievous young street dog rescued from Portugal’s Algarve who came to the UK via Helping Paws to find his forever home. He was immediately fostered whilst waiting for his permanent home, but after just two weeks his fosterer could no longer keep him. Lynn, founder of Caroline Cares, happened to be at a Helping Paws meeting when they got the call that Sid had to be re-homed immediately, but there was no-one available so Lynn offered to take him home for a day or two until they could find another fosterer. The rest is history. Sid stayed and became Coin, not only because asking Sid to “Sit” was causing confusion but because Lynn believed that Caroline had sent Colin. Now nicknamed “Naughty Colin” by all that know him he is so full of life and brings so much laughter just as Caroline did. Please feel free to ask any questions.
