The two handled boat shaped vase, set upon a spreading scroll foot, and painted in the Imari style, with stylised flowers, on a cobalt blue ground, heightened with gilding. The cover is probably an original Derby porcelain replacement, as it bears the date mark for 1923. Printed factory marks, with date code for 1897. Painted pattern number’4072′.
