This beautiful set of 3 plates are in excellent condition. They measure approximately 9 1/4 inches in diameter. The Royal Crown Derby mark on the back of each pieces places their creation between 1877 and 1890. Beautiful hand painted butterfly and floral designs accompanied by gold gilding give these pieces an elegance that cannot be matched. 2 plates are a standard height, the third is raised on a pedestal as a compote plate, making these great to use as desert plates. I have had these plates sitting in a closet for almost 30 years. I have never used them. My grandfather was a huge collector, these were a part of that collection.
