Pair of Royal Crown Derby Signed WD Boat Scene Beaded Gold & Red Miniature Vases. Beautiful pair of porcelain miniature vases. Decorated with hand painted boats on water framed by gold gilt beading and raised and beaded gold floral grape vines. Has an overall red background. Marked on the bottom Royal Crown Derby England with a date code for 1904. Signed by the artist WD. Probably painted by W E J Dean. Though I could not find any examples of his work signed WD, the style and time period appear to be correct for his work. These have some wear to the gilding and minor scratches to the red, but are in otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Each vase measures approximately 2 7/8 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches tall. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.

I measure them at 6 1/”2 high to the top of the rim, 7″ high to the top of the handles, 4″ outer diameter and 6 5/8″ across the outer most edges of the handles. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or other obvious defects.
