A pair of highly decorated cobalt blue and gold gilded classical shape Royal Crown Derby lidded Vases/Urns. They are highly decorative and stand very well together. However, both vases are damaged and I would ask that you study the photographs carefully. Both the lids have been broken and glued back to the vase. The base to one vase has been broken and glued. There is also some gilding missing from one of the vases at the top of the central hand painted piece as can be seen from the photograph. Despite this they would make a lovely display pair and unless you look carefully the damage is not too visible. Would probably benefit from the broken base being professionally repaired as I believe the lids have. I have priced these pieces accordingly. They measure 22 cm in height. Fully marked on the base they have gilded mask handles, the body being in Cobalt Blue ground with raised gilt enamel overlay highly decorated with birds, butterflies and foliage. These vases are beautifully decorated and display well. Fully back stamped with the Royal Crown Derby mark together with the number 112. There is some wear to the gilding on the handles and rim to both vases. They are both free from any cracks, hairline or otherwise and no restoration has taken place. There is a very small chip to the base of one of the vases which is not noticeable when stood and I have tried to photograph it. All in all given the age of the pieces they are in excellent condition and would make a lovely addition to any collection. The vases measures approximately 16 cm in height.
