Pattern features hand-painted imari gold, cobalt and rust flowers with gold trim in the Duesberry shape, this particular piece is dated 1989/90. Measures 4″ high x 3 5/8″ diameter at rim, saucer measures 6 1/4″ diameter x 1 1/2″ high. In Excellent vintage condition free of fleabites, nicks with little to no wear noted. Royal Crown Derby “Old Imari” pattern trembleuse cup and saucer set. This style of saucer has been discontinued and is no longer available. The original idea of trembleuse sets was for persons with trembling hands, so they would not spill their coffee or hot chocolate. This belonged to my mother, as she collected tea and saucer pairs. It was never used as far as I know, but I don’t have the box or anything that came with it. Saucer: 6 1/4″ across 1 1/2″ tall Cup: 3 3/4″ across 4 1/4″ tall Condition is Like New. Being offered is a Superb Vintage Pair of Royal Crown Derby “Traditional Imari” Trembleuse Cups & Saucers #2451 First Quality. Each of the pieces have the Derby. Roman numeral year cyphers XXX which indicate the date of production to be 1967. Both of the cups & saucers are in MINT CONDITION with no chips, cracks or crazing showing absolutely no signs of wear or usage delivering a bright & glossy finish, the gold is in pristine condition. The cups stand 3 7/8″ tall, 3 3/8″ in diameter, the saucers 6 1/4 in diameter.
