A sculptural shell-form dish from Royal Crown Derby’s Nottingham Road works, measuring 9.75″ × 9.25″. The decoration features cobalt, iron red, and gilt in a floral and scrollwork arrangement-an early iteration of the King’s pattern lineage. On the back is Royal Crown Derby’s signature blue vine and leaf motif. The red crown-over-crossed-batons-and-D mark confirms production between 1806 and 1825, during the Duesbury & early Bloor period. The shell shape, with its softly lobed rim and deep basin, suggests use as a dessert or cabinet dish. A rare sculptural form from Derby’s early 19th-century output. Maker : Royal Crown Derby. Pattern : Early King’s. Dimensions : 9.75″ × 9.25″. Style : Cobalt, iron red, and gilt floral with scrollwork. Derby’s signature blue vines and leaves on the back. Use : Cabinet display, dessert service. Excellent for its age, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. Gilt remains vivid, and the surface retains its original glaze. Foot ring is stable, and the mark is clearly impressed. Some wear to gold along the lower edges. There are a few rough production patches on the underside.

Antique Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Shell Bowl. Royal Crown Derby clam shell bowls fashioned as naturalistic open face scalloped shell. The charming bowls have a relief moulded ripple on the eggshell porcelain. The design is taken from an 18th century model. Dimension is 19 cm height and 21 cm wide. Weight prior packing is 478 grams prior packing. Almost all of the items that we sell are either Antique or Vintage, therefore will have blemishes, signs of use or natural age wear & tear.
