This is a beautifully decorative and substantial piece with 22 carat gold and rich red detailing to the impressive shield, rich cobalt blue and gold lettering to the base and the unicorn’s horn (cast in 22 carat gold plate) and crown. This is a Limited Edition piece of only 250 pieces. This particular piece is number 139/250 and is complete with gold stopper, signed Certificate, special gold back stamp and Presentation Box. This piece forms part of the Limited Edition Queen’s Beasts series and was produced to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The Unicorn was modelled by Mark Delf with decoration by Carmen Roome and measures approximately 9 inches (23 cm) in height. C1820 PAIR DERBY PORCELAIN TEA CUPS & SAUCERS SCOTLAND SPAIN DERBYSHIRE. A pair of antique Georgian period Derby porcelain tea cups and saucers. Each has been hand painted with a scene named to the reverse. Each piece has an ornate rococo scrolling border. All decoration has been painted by hand. 16 photos in gallery below.
