Up for sale is a vintage set of 8 Royal Crown Derby Vine Bone China in pink (also called Salmon) with gold highlights. The eight plates can be used for salad, bread and butter and dessert and measure 6 1/4 inches in diameter. Note several areas with missing paint — see photos #12, 13, 14 and 15. One plate has some crazing and a plate has a chip – see photo # 11, on the underside (not visible from the front of the plate).

Gorgeous antique ewer-style vase made by Royal Crown Derby for the fine jewelry/ department store, JE Caldwell & Co. The red backstamp on the base dates this piece to around 1905. There are also some incised and handwritten letters and numbers on the base, including possibly faded artist initials. The piece is entirely hand painted, with lilies and other flowers in shades of pink, blue, lavender and green, on a glossy ivory ground. The neck and foot are painted bright pink with gilt details, including scallop shell motifs. The rope handle is gold as well. The vase measures 7″ tall, 1″ in diameter across the opening, and 2 in diameter across the foot, with a bulbous center. It’s in outstanding condition with no chips or cracks and no visible wear to the decoration. Its only slight flaw is some light crazing near the bottom (last photo) but it is very hard to see. This is a stunning antique vase!

Incredibly beautiful, is this example of Royal Crown Derby! Hand painted with 24K gold accents with a Registration Number in England placing its manufacture between 1889 and 1890. That something this delicate has lasted 130 years is remarkable. I have another cup of this pattern only in Yellow also listed. Please see pictures as they are the bulk of the description.
