This is a Royal Crown Derby limited edition footed cup/vase from 1939, featuring 2 24K gold spread winged eagle handles and commemorating HM King George VI’s and HM Queen Elizabeth’s, “the first visit of British reigning sovereigns to these United States”. It is signed, dated 1939, and produced in the United Kingdom. Plummer and Company Limited of New York city. The cup/vase is part of a series of 3000, with this specific piece being number 171. The design is themed around British Royalty pictures on the front and the USA Eagle crest on the reverse. This is a collectible item for fans of historical memorabilia. Size: It is 4 3/4″ high and 6″ wide from beak to beak. The condition is immaculate and perfect except for a tiny chip on the end of the beak of one of the eagles.
