This is a beautiful commemorative cross by Royal Crown Derby, fine English bone china. The piece is titled’The True Vine Cross’. This was a special edition produced to mark the visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to the United Kingdom in September 2010. This was the first time a Pope had made a state visit to the UK (John Paul’s prior visit was pastoral). This cross is made of fine white bone china with elaborate gilded detailing.
