A Wonderful Early Derby Cabinet Plate. Exotic Multicoloured Birds perched on branches with a peaceful scenic background, exquisitely hand painted by Richard Dodson. Rich Purples, Pinks & greens which really make the birds pop out. Quite comical appearance to the birds. Hand painted ornate Gilded edge with Flourishes, leaves & scrolls. Fairly neat backstamp in gold of the crown, cross & D. Small label on the back which says Richard Dodson ex Jarvis Collection. No chips or cracks. Has glaze crazing which has stained in several areas, this staining is visible in the recess on the front but in the right hands could be rectified. 2 Blemishes to the rim and a few faults hidden within the gilt band all from firing. Set of eight Royal Crown Derby “VINE” Coffee Cups & Saucers. There are six different colours represented. Seven of the cups and all of the saucers are in fabulous condition – no chips or cracks. One cup (the blue) has a hairline crack as shown in the photo but still displays well. The cups are about 6.75cm tall by 7cm diameter. The saucers are about 12.5cm in diameter. Together the 16 pieces weigh about 1180gr unpacked. Please wait for an invoice if you want to use Sendle. I have other great items listed! I pack breakables in tissue, lots of bubble-wrap with plenty of additional cushioning. I use recycled materials where possible. Terms of Service I describe things to the best of my ability.
