6 ROYAL CROWN DERBY BIRD & FLOWER IMARI BOWLS. 1 3/8 Wide Rim. Six beautiful Antique Imari bowls in the Royal Crown Derby 198 “Bird & Chrysanthemum” pattern – Top sides of bowls are completely covered in hand painted Imari patterns and colors featuring birds & mums. The bowls are antique but without any chips, cracks or stains. However, five bowls have fine, clean overall crazing that is not noticeable on the top and would not affect display. (Clear glass liners would be advisable for use with food) One bowl remains uncrazed. If it falls short, we will make up the difference.

Royal Crown Derby. Pattern 198; aka Birds and Flowers. Cobalt Blue, Red and Green on Yellow with Gold Decor. Measurements: 10 1/2 diameter. Weight, prepackaged: 1 lb 10.1 oz. Condition: The plate is free of chips, cracks and fleabites. One of the plates available has some minor crazing on the back, the others are free of crazing. There are a few light marks from rare use or storage, none easily seen without inspection. There is some light wear on the designs from stacking as seen in the photos. The gold is very good overall with some fading. The bottom has felt pads attached to the base to prevent damage from stacking and better grip on the table. The bottom is marked with a crown over interlinked “D”s and incised with a crown over “Derby”. It’s a beautiful Imari style pattern, perfect for display or use.
