Vintage MCM VTG Royal Crown Derby Bone China – Brittany – A1229 – Oval Platter 13×11 inches. This platter is in very good condition. The roman numerals of XLII indicate the manufacture year was 1979. This lovely vintage platter is made by one of the foremost china factories worldwide. Royal Crown Derby has been producing fine china since 1750 and continues to do so today. Royal Crown Derby has supplied the Royal Families with fine dinnerware since George III. Its border is in deep red and green that has two geometric bands with stylized plants between them (see close up photo). The “flowers” on the plants are slightly raised adding an even more elegant touch to an already elegant pattern. Also has the appearance of berries. This last week we came across a partial set of this elegant Royal Crown Derby set of dishes. At this time, we can’t even guess as to how many listings this ends up. Great holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas), MCM or farmhouse decor china.
