GOTHIER’S OF SIDMOUTH MINIATURE CHINA SHOP. Royal Crown Derby Gothier’s China Shop miniature issued in a 2004 gold backstamp edition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of a shop that was once a major outlet for Royal Crown Derby china. (Gothier’s is now closed). The bone china paperweight has beautiful hand painted decoration that is completely different from the earlier Gothier’s China Shop issues. It’s the same building but the roof is cobalt, there are flower boxes and even the inventory in the windows has changed. The bottom is stamped as shown with gold lettering. If it falls short, we will make up the difference.

It was made in 1990 to celebrate 100 years since Queen Victoria awarded the Royal Warrant to Crown Derby, making it Royal Crown Derby. It stands at 4 inches tall and is 3 1/2 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and the base is fully marked as shown and it has its stopper. There is a box but no certificate. A lovely piece to add to your collection.
