Pair of Royal Crown Derby Signed WD Boat Scene Beaded Gold & Red Miniature Vases. Beautiful pair of porcelain miniature vases. Decorated with hand painted boats on water framed by gold gilt beading and raised and beaded gold floral grape vines. Has an overall red background. Marked on the bottom Royal Crown Derby England with a date code for 1904. Signed by the artist WD. Probably painted by W E J Dean. Though I could not find any examples of his work signed WD, the style and time period appear to be correct for his work. These have some wear to the gilding and minor scratches to the red, but are in otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Each vase measures approximately 2 7/8 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches tall. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.

A distinguished pair of antique Royal Crown Derby porcelain plates, superbly decorated in the classic Imari palette of deep cobalt, iron red, and hand-applied gold. Each 10-inch plate is richly painted with botanical and geometric motifs characteristic of Derby’s finest late 19th-early 20th century production. The enamel is strong and luminous, with elegant gilt accents that catch the light beautifully. Together, the plates form an exceptional display pair-ideal for a formal dining room, cabinet, or gallery wall. Maker: Royal Crown Derby, England. Pattern: Imari – hand painted with gilt. Size: 10 diameter each. Quantity: Pair (2 plates). Palette: Deep cobalt, iron red, and gold on ivory ground. Marks: Impressed crown and red painted crown mark (see photos). No chips, cracks, or repairs. Light age-related gilt wear from careful use. One plate shows faint vintage dealer-label residue on the reverse-left as found and not visible when displayed. Clean faces, strong color, and elegant presentation. A refined pair of Royal Crown Derby Imari plates, offered as a matched set with superb decorative presence and timeless English craftsmanship.
