Late 19th-Early 20th Century Royal Crown Derby Mansion House Dwarf Porcelain Figure. No mark on the base. Please view pictures as they are also part of my description. The figure measures approximately 17 cm high and 9 cm diameter at the base. It is in very good condition with normal wear consistent with age. No apparent cracks, chips or repairs. However, we are by no means experts and this information is based solely on our general knowledge & opinions. We will disclose any damage or defect that is not consistent with what should be expected with normal wear, and will always disclose any chips, breaks, repairs, etc. That we believe affect the usability and value of the piece over and above normal wear for the age of the item. This is a very rare tea cup & saucer by Royal Crown Derby, England. The marks on each piece date from the late Georgian period, 1806 through 1825. The decoration on each piece is very unusual for the time, as it is Neoclassical rather than oriental in design. Each piece is made of natural white ceramic with highly decorative gilded detailing at the edges, handle, and interior of the cup. Each piece is decorated with a motif of Greek keys, urns, grapes, and stylized plants in deep orange, blue, purple, black, yellow and gold. Each piece is in very good condition for the age and use of the piece. There is some crazing & discoloration to the base of the saucer and inner rim of the cup, and VERY light wear to the decoration in some spots. Please be sure to view the photos as they show each piece in detail. The cup measures 2.1″ tall, 4.25″ wide, 3.45″ across at the lip, and 1.95″ across at the base.
