Two really nice 6-3/4″ and 6-7/8″ dessert plates in the Royal Crown Derby “Kings” pattern. These have more gold decoration than the standard “Kings” pattern. Whether this was a separate pattern or just an optional upgrade, I’m not sure. They have the mark used from 1877 to 1890 as well as an impressed “DERBY” mark. One of them has the date code for 1886. The condition is near excellent with no significant wear to the design. One of the plates has a tiny shallow chip on the reverse edge that is not visible from the top.
