This vintage Royal Crown Derby bone china teapot is decorated in the Traditional Imari pattern. The blue and gold decoration is highlighted by red flowers. The pretty pattern highlights red and white flowers framed by gold scroll-like leaves. The wide border is decorated with square designs filled with flowers and geometric shapes. The inner rim has a pretty coordinating pattern and the spout has decorative gold trim. The handle is gold and the teapot is trimmed in gold. The teapot has a chip on the front edge of the spout and the finial has been repaired. Otherwise its free of additional chips, cracks, repairs and crazing. The pot measures 4 3/4″ high to the top of the finial x 8 1/2″ wide from handle to spout. It holds 16 ounces or 2 cups. It is marked in red, ROYAL CROWN DERBY MADE IN ENGLAND 2451 with a cypher mark used in 1937. I do not mark merchandise values below their actual value or mark items as “Gifts”.
