12 Royal Crown Derby Traditional Imari 9571 Rimmed Soup Bowls Plates 1925. Offered for sale is this gorgeous set of Royal Crown Derby soup bowl / plates in the “Traditional Imari” pattern, pattern number 9571. This pattern is an older, more ornate variation of the modern Royal Crown Derby Traditional Imari pattern (number 2451). It is the same overall pattern and colors but with a more ornate rim and more elaborate, pinker flowers with green leaves. The pattern is decorated in an Imari-derived palette of cobalt blue, iron red, green and gold and has heavy gold trim. All the colors are hand painted. The pieces are marked “Royal Crown Derby” and are dated with with impressed marks to 1924 and 1925, as well as hand painted pattern numbers. The British registration number dates the pattern to 1925. The rimmed soup plates are 9 5/8 inches wide. Condition: Excellent with no chips or cracks. No visible wear, not so much as a utensil mark; like new. Thank you for your interest.
